Undercover drug operation nets 3 arrests in Charlotte County
PUNTA Gorda, Fla. - Charlotte County detectives arrested three drug dealers Wednesday at the Charlotte County Jail, all stemming from separate undercover drug buys involving sale of Methamphetamine or Morphine.
Detectives arrested 29-year-old James Scott Hine of Port Charlotte charging him with Sale and Delivery of Morphine, Possession of Morphine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The drug buy took place July 13 with undercover detectives. Hine was arrested at the jail where he’s been since July 22 on unrelated charges. Hine is in jail on no bond.
Also arrested was 27-year-old Adam James Shartles of North Port. Shartle is charged with Sale of a Non-Controlled Substance in Lieu of a Controlled Substance. He sold fake Methamphetamine to an undercover detective on July 24, which is a felony. Shartle is in jail on no bond.
Finally detectives arrested 27-year-old Angela Nicole Yawn of Port Charlotte charging her with Sale and Delivery of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia for a July 31 sale to detectives. She was also charged for an Aug. 3 sale of fake Meth to undercover detectives on the felony charge of Sale of a Non-Controlled Substance in Lieu of a Controlled Substance. Yawn remains in jail on no bond
