NB I-75 reopens in Lee County after tow truck fire

LEE COUNTY, Fla. - A vehicle being hauled by a tow truck caught fire shortly after 9 a.m. forcing a section of northbound I-75 to close near mile marker 143.

 

Fox 4 photographer Chris Day, shooting pictures of the scene near mile marker 143 in Lee County. 

Fire crews got on scene quickly, but not before the fire destroyed the car and damaged to the tow truck. 

We're told the driver of the truck was able to escape unhurt. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
