Shooting suspect arrested in Fort Myers
FORT MYERS, Fla. - New information about a shooting in Fort Myers this week. Police arrest the man they say pulled the trigger, leading to a standoff.
27 year-old Ernest Barnes is facing several charges, including aggravated assault with a firearm and false imprisonment. Police say on Monday, he pulled a gun on an ex-girlfriend and forced her into his car.
A male friend of the girl then got into a fight with Barnes that ended with Barnes reportedly shooting himself in the leg.
Barnes drove himself the hospital. The man he was fighting ran into a house, leading to a short standoff with police, before he gave himself up.
