NAPLES- The city of Naples says we are seeing nearly a 5 foot storm surge from Isaac.

From the beach access point on Gordon Drive and 32nd Avenue South, you can now see the waves without stepping a foot on the sand.

The city says we're seeing a 4.9 foot storm surge. The highest tide is at the southern portion of the beach. Waves are crashing up to sea walls and coming closer to some of Naples most expensive homes.

While Isaac let us off the hook, other parts of Florida saw much more.

"Our event was more than 36 hours of torrential down pours, winds of 40-50 miles an hour, upward of 70-75 mile wind gusts all over Palm Beach and Martin County," said Don Ryan, visiting Naples from Boca Raton.

The sun and surfers are out near the Naples Pier on Tuesday. The Moliterno family from London is now wrapping up their one month stay in Naples.

"We never experienced a tropical storm or hurricane Isaac rather scary, but passed us quickly," said Debbie Moliterno, visiting from London.

Debbie Moliterno says she is not letting her 6-year-old twins go too far out in the ocean on Tuesday because the waves are too rough.

"They can pick shells up from the sand, not allowed to go in...I hear jelly fish come in when waves are rough."

Now beachgoers are thankful Isaac is gone and 8-year-old Bret Jempty is enjoying the waves before the beach and surf goes back to what he's use to.

"I know in Florida you guys don't get waves that big," said Bret Jempty, visiting from New York.
