SW Florida in the clear, Isaac heads to Northern Gulf
FORT MYERS, Fla. - Tropical Storm Isaac is lashing coastal Collier and Lee Counties with storm surge this afternoon. Isaac served up a glancing blow to Southwest Florida. The storm caused less than 1400 power outages in Charlotte, Lee and Collier counties.
Lee, Collier and Charlotte County Schools will open for classes on Tuesday.
The storm did bring some tree limbs down but wind damage was minimal as Isaac brought only an inch to three inches of rain to the area.

Tropical Storm Isaac is slowly intensifying. It is about 190 miles S/SW of Cape Coral.

The rain bands continue to diminish across Southwest Florida. Occasional downpours will occur throughout Monday along with gusty conditions but our weather will begin to improve as we move through the day.
Isaac's size is inhibiting its ability to intensify.
Storm Surge between 3 and 5 feet is possible.
