CAPE CORAL, Fla. - The manhunt in Cape Coral for murder suspect Felipe Torrealba forced a lock down at six schools for a time Thursday afternoon.

The lock down impacted Ida Baker High School, Gulf Middle School and Gulf Elementary School.

Three charter schools, Oasis High School, Oasis Middle School and Oasis Elementary School were also on lockdown.

The schools went on a modified lock down shortly after 1:30 p.m. meaning students could move from class to class or be dismissed at the appropriate time.

Cape Coral Police along with the Lee County Sheriff's Office and U.S. Marshalls have been searching the Southwest Cape since last night for the 26-year-old Torrealba.

Torrealaba is wanted in connection with a homicide in Broward/Miami/Dade counties.  He is considered armed and dangerous.

Torrealba was the subject of a manhunt last week in Lehigh Acres.
