Cuba-to-Fla. swimmer Nyad pulled from water
KEY WEST, Fla. (AP) - Endurance swimmer Diana Nyad has been pulled from the water onto a boat after multiple problems on her fourth day of attempting a record crossing from Cuba to Florida. Vaness Linsley, a member of Nyad's support team in Key West, says the 62-year-old athlete was taken on to a support boat early Tuesday. Linsely said they'll know more in a little while. They are discussing with Diana as to how they want to proceed. She said the swimmer had run into multiple problems including jellyfish stings and storms at sea. Nyad left Havana on Saturday in her third attempt to be the first person to swim the Florida Straits without a shark cage.
