Man accused of robbing Lehigh elderly couple at knifepoint
LEHIGH, Fla. – A North Fort Myers man is accused of holding an elderly couple at knifepoint, robbing them and then forcing them to drive him to a hotel.
Deputies in Lee County arrested Brett Wentela after they say he broke into the couple's Lehigh Acres home over the weekend.
Deputies say he spent the next four hours forcing them to give up their valuables and then had them drive him to a hotel.
He was found the next day and charged with home invasion robbery and kidnapping.
