POMPANO BEACH, FLA - A 28-year-old Connecticut woman is dead after a parasailing accident in Florida.
It happened on pompano beach Wednesday.
Kathleen Miskell...parasailing with her husband off shore when her harness suddenly snapped.
The boat operator reeled Miskell's husband into the boat, but found her face down in the water.
The mayor of Pompano Beach describes the tragic accident saying, "The young lady was with her husband, they were in tandem being pulled by the parasail and her harness failed and broke and she fell approximately a 150 feet into the water."
This is the fifth parasailing-related death in Florida since 2001.
