Radel wins GOP nod in District 19 US Congressional race

BONITA SPRINGS, Fla. - Trey Radel is the GOP pick with 30% of the vote in the race to represent you in US Congress, District 19.

A crowded six-member field were looking to win the seat being vacated by southwest Florida Congressman Connie Mack.

Chauncey Goss finished 2nd to Radel with 22% of the vote.  Paige Kreegel finished third in the race at 18%, Gary Aubuchon at 15%, Byron Donalds at 14% and Davidow at 1%.

Radel and his supporters celebrated in Bonita Springs tonight. 

“This community has put a lot of trust in me.  I still have to win an election in November, but I plan to do everything I can to share our message and, more importantly, learn from the people of southwest Florida.” Radel said.

Trey Radel is married to FOX 4 anchor Amy Wegmann.
