District 5 Collier Commissioner Race: Tim Nance moves on to general election

NAPLES, Fla. - Tim Nance is one step closer to getting the District 5 Collier County Commissioner seat.

 
Tim Nance winning the August primary. Nance received 64.91% of the vote. Incumbent Jim Coletta received 35.08% of the vote.
 
Jim Coletta has been a Collier County Commissioner since 2000.
 
"I do appreciate that I've had help of so many people to be able to put on this fight. I think we did an excellent job with a limited budget," said Coletta.
 
Nance is a manager with Gargiulo, Inc., one of the largest growers and marketers of fresh market tomatoes in the world and one of Collier County's largest employers. Nance says he wants to build an ATV park in Collier and pledges he won't serve more than 2 terms if elected as a commissioner. 
 
Nance moves on to the November election where he will face John Lundin.
