NAPLES, Fla. - It's an exciting first day of school for students at one Naples high school.
St. John Neumann Catholic High School is giving its students their very own iPad.
Teachers showed students how they'll use them in class. The iPad will replace most of the textbooks students would normally use. It also will help teachers and students save paper. Students will also be able to access their grades and homework on the iPad.
"We went to our 1st period and we learned about where we get our grades and class syllabus and
things like that," said Isabella Amoroso, sophomore at St. John Neumann.
"The iPads will allow teachers and students to communicate directly. It will forgo an awful lot of the paper use," said Stephan Mazula, St. John Neumann teacher.
Students will be able to keep the iPad when they graduate during senior year.
Students in the public school system go back to school next Monday, August 20.
