FORT MYERS, Fla. - An alligator has to be put down after being hit by a car in Fort Myers.
Fort Myers police tell us the gator was spotted by a driver on Winkler Avenue yesterday.
Officers helped FWC workers trap the gator, who had injuries to its back leg.
Officials tell us because of those injuries the gator had to be euthanized.
