Patrick Nolan and Emily Dishnow named Best Anchor Team
News-Press readers voted the Fox 4 team the "Best Of Southwest Florida."
ESTERO, Fla. - Fox 4 anchors Patrick Nolan & Emily Dishnow have been named Southwest Florida's best anchor team.
The honor was announced Thursday night at the 22nd annual "Best of Southwest Florida" awards presented by the News-Press at Grandezza clubhouse in Estero.
Thousands of News-Press readers voted in the annual poll.
Patrick and Emily leaped out of their seats when their names were announced as the winning team by emcee, WINK-FM host Gina Burch who's been hosting the event for years.
Patrick also engaged in a tradition of his own - picking up his co-anchor and spinning her around in celebration.
This year marks the first time Fox 4 has won the "Best Anchor Team" award since 2009.
Emily is the third co-anchor to with the award with Patrick over the years.
The News-Press will publish the full list of this years "Best of Southwest Florida" winners in a special issue on August 26th.
