Cape Coral Police investigate bank robbery
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - Cape Coral Police are investigating a robbery reported Friday morning at Capital bank, 2209 Santa Barbara Blvd. South.
A suspect was caught nearby in a home just after 11:00.
K9 and aviation units assisted in the search for the man who fled the bank on a bicycle.
Police say he later ditched the bike and his shirt on Southeast 16th Street. He was wearing a pair of gray or faded black cargo shorts. He is described as a white man about 5' 10", 140-150 pounds, with a skin disorder or scarring on his face.
No injuries were reported.
