Lee Schools super wants raises for some top administrators
Burke is looking for $140K to pay several top administrators
FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lee County Schools superintendent is looking to give raises to several top administrators which could cost you a lot of money.
$140,000: that's what school board member Dr. Jane Kuckel says it will cost the district just in salaries to give raises to seven top administrators.
The issue scheduled to come up for a vote in the next hour or so.
Kuckel's out of town, but wrote a letter urging fellow board members to hold off on the vote, saying it's not the right time when the district's facing a $15 million dollar deficit.
The superintendent is expected to respond to Kuckel's criticism.
