NAPLES- We are telling you something good tonight.
Third graders in Collier County are getting a lesson about generosity and kindness.

Students from Pelican Marsh Elementary School spent hours packaging 25,000 meals for the needy families and children in Southwest Florida. 150 students teamed up with Meals of Hope to package the food items like macaroni and beans.

The Harry Chapin Food Bank will hand out the items later to needy families.

"We are packing good for the people, the hungry and we are putting grains and macaroni into bags," said 3rd grader Grace Geri.

"It's really nice to help out. All the 3rd grade classes are helping out to make food," said Colin Raab, student.

Last week, Mike Davis Elementary school worked on putting together food packages too.
