CAPE CORAL - A bold plan for one of the candidates looking to represent you in congress. Republican Gary Aubuchon proposes an end to pensions for congressmen.
Gary aubuchon calls his plan the "first steps to fixing Washington."
The GOP candidate announcing the plan at a special event in front of employees at Marine Concepts in Cape Coral.
Aubuchon, who is running for the seat currently held by congressman Connie Mack, is proposing to dismantle the congressional pension program as well as installing term limits for members of congress.
Aubuchon says the ideas would change the Washington spending mentality by stopping politicians from making a career in Congress and bring more accountability to their offices.
