RSD patient meets First Lady in Naples
NAPLES, Fla. - First Lady Michelle Obama takes time to encourage a young Naples woman who's pushing for change in America's health care system.
“You keep going girl. You keep going, I keep going!” Michelle Obama said.
Mrs. Obama offers words of support to Jessica Stevens whose mom recorded this video. As we reported last night, Jessica sufferers from a rare condition called R-S-D, and had to go to Mexico for a pain-relieving treatment not approved in the US.
Stevens says the First Lady told her she's a poster child for health care reform, and is glowing with life.
Jessica calls the experience "awesome”.
