Three homicides in Lehigh Acres in the same week
Sheriff's Office releasing little information
LEHIGH ACRES- The latest homicide happened on Wednesday in the driveway of a Lehigh Acres home on Beauty Street. 35-year-old Richard Henski was found dead on his driveway.
"I didn't know the man. I've probably seen him twice and that was about it," said Alejandro Vargas, neighbor.
But that doesn't mean his neighbors like Alejandro Vargas, a father of 2, aren't following this crime closely.
"Are you concerned at all?" I asked.
"Yes and no. It's the biggest thing that's happened on this street," said Vargas.
Just 10 miles away and 2 days earlier, 43-year-old Amy Lorah and her 16-year-old son, William Haley, were found dead inside their home on 46th Street. Deputies aren't saying how any of the victims died and have made no arrests. Because the Sheriff's Office is releasing litte information, some are wondering if the 2 crimes are connected and how safe are they in their own homes.
I took those concerns to the Lee County Sheriff.
"If we felt that there was any reason to sound the alarm for the community, in other words some wild killer at large or something along that Lines, then we would issue updates accordingly, but based on our initial evidence we're pursuing the right leads watching the right people," said Sheriff Mike Scott.
