Fort Leavenworth, KS - An Army Staff Sergeant will appear in a military court at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas and will be charged with 17 counts of murder and six counts of assault and attempted murder.
Staff Sgt. Robert Bales is accused of killing 17 Afghan villagers, which included children, as they slept.
The incident has brought yet another blow to U.S.-Afghan relations.
