Lee County Commissioner Tammy Hall announces her decision not to run for the US Congress. 

Hall announcing today that she is will not seek the seat currently held by Connie Mack. Congressman Mack is running for the US Senate.

In a statement today, Tammy Hall says:

"I've spent the last several months meeting with many Southwest Florida residents and feel blessed to have had the opportunity to get to know so many fantastic people.  I'm very thankful and honored by the support I've received from so many individuals.  Southwest Florida has been my home for many years and I have had the privilege to serve as a Lee County Commissioner."  Hall continues, "I believe there is important work to do in Washington.  However, I believe the most important kind of public service is service which has a direct impact enhancing the lives of people of Lee County." 
 
"So with that, I look forward to continuing my work as a Commissioner, balancing our economic growth with our quality of life, ensuring a balanced budget, fighting waste in government and saving tax payers money.”
