Suspect caught from December bank robbery
FORT MYERS - Lee County detectives say they've caught a bank robber who's been on the run since last month.
Detectives say 37 year-old Charles Archie walked into the fifth third branch on state road 82 in Fort Myers on December 5th, and handed the teller a note demanding money.
Deputies say Archie turned himself in yesterday after two corrections officers, who worked in the jail where he was being held on other charges, recognized him from surveillance images of the robbery.
