Edison faculty union feud with college, want more pay
FORT MYERS - Faculty at Edison State College feel they should be paid more and they're pleading their case.
The college and faculty are at odds over salary. On Wednesday both sides plead their case at an impasse hearing.
The faculty union is arguing for a 3.5 percent raise. Last month, the board of trustees proposed a 2 percent increase which the union rejected.
Both sides met in front of an an impartial third party for several hours.
Once a ruling is made, the board of trustrees can either accept or reject that decision.
