Car accident slows down NB traffic on US 41 and Pelican Bay

UPDATE 11pm: One NB lane now open. All lanes should be open in next hour.
NAPLES - All northbound lanes of Tamiami Trail/US 41 are closed right now at Pelican Bay Boulevard. According to Florida Highway Patrol, the road is shut down while they investigate a car accident.
6 people were taken to the hospital, including two children.
No word on how many cars are involved or how many people are injured. Troopers say traffic is being re-routed to Frontage Road.
