Unharmed baby found with 2 dead parents in Alaska
ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) - Two people have been found dead with an unharmed baby in a remote Yupik Eskimo village.
Alaska State Troopers identified the dead Monday as 29-year-old Jonathan Paul and 26-year-old Gina Martin.
Martin's sister, Jessica Martin, says she and her mother found the bodies when they went to the couple's home in Kipnuk late Saturday night. The mother, Dolly Martin, called a tribal police officer, who notified troopers.
Jessica Martin says the 1-year-old girl is the couple's daughter, Deann. She says the child is staying with her family.
Troopers continue to investigate the deaths. Authorities have released little information.
Relatives in the community of about 640 people also say they don't know what happened.
Kipnuk is about 475 miles west of Anchorage.
