NAPLES, FL - Visually impaired kids are getting a chance to experience a beautiful part
of our community.

The non-profit, Lighthouse of Collier, is in its third week of summer camp. Wednesday's destination is Naples Botanical Garden.  Children got to experience the sounds and smells of the Enabling Garden there.

"We planted a pizza garden. It was all herbs that go into a pizza. All things that are really fragrant and colorful," said the Director of Conservation and Education, Chad Washburn.

"What's your favorite thing about the plants and flowers out there?" I asked.
"They're so beautiful, and colorful, yeah there so colorful," said 8-year-old Xavian Capers.

This is the 2nd year for this summer camp. It is made possible by the generous donations of
Mr. and Mrs. Scribner, Eliane Cline Cleaning, Inc., and The Naples Beach Hotel.

The camp is scheduled every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday in the month of July.
