FORT MYERS - Lee County students are heading back to class on August 8th.
The school district released this year's new bus routes over the weekend. So far, there have been no complaints.
The district is consolidating routes after last year's transportation audit raised concerns about long bus rides.
"In years past, to a fault, we were very accomodating to families that needed an additional stop to a bus route.” Joe Donzelli says. “We really did that not really taking a big concern in extending the length of the route, but really trying to accommodate all of the families. What you're starting to see is a little bit of pull back from that now."
