A pair of Lee County teens accused of terrorizing a community are facing felony charges for allegedly robbing several people at gunpoint.

The suspects, who are just 14 years old, allegedly committed the crimes late Tuesday night in the area of Rosemary Drive and London Lane in Bonita Springs. Four In Your Corner will not be identifying the teens because of their age.

Deputies say the teens were riding in a light blue two door mustang late at night. Their arrest reports show one of the boys drove the car and pulled up next to victims while the other would show off his gun and demand money.

People living nearby say the area has seen its fair share of crime in the area but have never heard of  teenagers as young partake in such crimes.

“This makes me livid. These kids have no business doing this. It’s time for parents to wake up and realize we need to watch our kids or else what type of life will the future generations have,” Marie Ruiz said.

Deputies say there were multiple cases involving the teens Tuesday night. A deputy was able to track down the car the teens were driving and at one point had to chase the car and conduct a PIT maneuver to get the vehicle to stop.

Four In Your Corner’s tried to speak with the family. An unidentified male who answered the door said only one of the teenagers lived in the house but declined to comment because 14 year old’s mother was not home.

Both teens have been released from the Lee County Jail and are expected to face a judge in July.
