CHARLOTTE COUNTY. Fla.-- A tortoise is back home after it was rescued by the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office.
They posted the pictures of the rescue on their Facebook page.
CCSO says on Sunday, a homeowner in Englewood called them to report a large gopher tortoise had fallen into her pool and sunk to the bottom.
They say the tortoise was quickly rescued and monitored. A deputy then returned it to a nearby burrow.
The tortoise appears to have made a full recovery.
