LEE COUNTY, Fla. – Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers says a $2,000 reward is now offered for information that'll help investigators solve the murder of a church volunteer in North Fort Myers.

Members of Covenant Presbyterian Church say the victim, 77-year-old JoAnn Leasure, was found dead last Wednesday inside her condo.

Her pastor says he knew something was wrong when she didn't show up to teach at vacation bible school.

“Her neighbors and members of her church family at Covenant Presbyterian are heartbroken at the loss of a friend who gave so much of her life to help others,” says Crime Stoppers coordinator Trish Route.  “Everyone who knew her is maintaining hope and faith that justice will be swiftly served.”

In addition to the customary $1,000 offered by Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers, General Elevator Solutions is offering an additional $1,000.

Anyone with information on the person or persons responsible for Leasure’s murder is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS (8477).  All callers will remain anonymous and will be eligible for a cash reward.  Tips may also be made online atwww.southwestfloridacrimestoppers.com or by submitting a tip on the P3Tips mobile app.
