ST. JAMES CITY, Fla. --ST. JAMES CITY, Fla. -- Residents all over Southwest Florida are still without power, Thursday, including in St. James City.

Those in St. James City called 4 In Your Corner after feeling neglected in their area. Residents said they have not seen many LCEC trucks in their area after Hurricane Irma. Resident Joseph Gross showed us exposed wires in his yard. "I didn't see it, honestly I did not see it," he said. "You don't know, so it'd be good for somebody to come out and say, these are dead, these need to be snipped."

Gross also adds the price of running his generator is adding up.

LCEC said Thursday 61% of their customer's power has been restored. They have 500 crews working in the area, adding main lines and areas where power is easier to restore will be done first. However, areas that sustained more severe damage during Irma will be without power a little longer.
