LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A collision between a car and a school bus injured two people in South Fort Myers Monday morning.
It happened around 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of McGregor Boulevard and A&W Bulb Road.
According to Florida Highway Patrol, the school bus had two students and a driver on board at the time. The bus was on A&W Bulb Road and started to turn left onto McGregor on a green arrow.
That's when a car headed westbound on McGregor ran the red light and crashed into the left side of the bus.
One 13-year-old student on the bus suffered minor injuries and was picked up by a parent at the scene.
The car's driver, 34-year-old Guemps Codio of Fort Myers, was seriously injured and taken to Lee Memorial for treatment.
Codio was charged with running a red light.
