LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- A collision between a car and a school bus injured two people in South Fort Myers Monday morning.

It happened around 8:45 a.m. at the intersection of McGregor Boulevard and A&W Bulb Road.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the school bus had two students and a driver on board at the time.  The bus was on A&W Bulb Road and started to turn left onto McGregor on a green arrow.

That's when a car headed westbound on McGregor ran the red light and crashed into the left side of the bus.

One 13-year-old student on the bus suffered minor injuries and was picked up by a parent at the scene.

The car's driver, 34-year-old Guemps Codio of Fort Myers, was seriously injured and taken to Lee Memorial for treatment.

Codio was charged with running a red light.
