Salvation Army starts Christmas assistance program

LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- While it's only October, one local organization is already helping you prepare for Christmas.

Registration for the Salvation Army's Christmas Food and Gift Assistance program is now open.
To apply you will need a valid photo I.D., proof you live in Lee County, as well as proof of income and benefits.

If you want to get your children on the list, all you need is proof of birth date, along with clothing and shoe sizes for them.

The Salvation Army says gifts will only be provided for children 12 years old and younger.

Here are the dates and times for where you can fill out your form—

The Salvation Army: 10291 McGregor Blvd. 
Monday, October 16: 9am-Noon & 6pm-8pm 
Tuesday, October 17: 9am-Noon 
Wednesday, October 18: 9am-Noon 

The Salvation Army: 2400 Edison Ave. 
Thursday, October 19 -Saturday, October 21: 9am-Noon 

The Salvation Army: 25 Homestead Rd. North, Suite 42 (Lehigh Acres) 
Monday, October 16-Friday, October 20: 8:30am-4:00pm 
Monday, October 23-Friday, October 27: 8:30am-4:00pm
