We now know the names of the two killed before 8 p.m. Sunday night on southbound I-75 near mile marker 116.
It happened near Bonita Beach Road.
20-year-old Joel Diaz Lemas and 21-year-old Daniel Ramirez Ortiz, both from Naples, were pronounced dead on the scene.
Florida Highway Patrol reports the two were driving in the emergency lane to pass other traffic when they approached a box truck broken down in the emergency lane.
FHP reports the Tiburon the two men were in rammed into the back of the broken down vehicle.
The occupants of the box truck had previously gotten out of the truck and were not hurt.
