Organized crime ring targets FPL truck tires

LEE COUNTY, Fla. — Florida Power and Light is offering a reward for information in a series of tire and battery thefts in the Fort Myers and Bonita Springs areaa.

FPL officials say they believe the thieves are part of an organized crime ring, specially targeting tires and batteries from FPL utility trucks.

Thefts have also been reported in Port St. Lucie and Jupiter.

The power company is offering up at a $10,000 reward to anyone who comes forward with information that leads to an arrest and conviction.

 Anyone with information is asked to call local law enforcement.
