LEE COUNTY, Fla.-- On November 20th, the City of Cape Coral will officially have a new mayor.
Joe Coviello will be sworn in as the next mayor during the regular city council meeting at 4:30 in the afternoon.
A vice mayor will be selected and new committee appointments will also be made for city council.
One of the first matters needing Coviello's vote will be approving a new deal for ammunition for the Cape Coral Police Department.
Current Mayor Marni Sawicki decided not to seek re-election after 4 years on the job.
