COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- Deputies say a 72-year-old man has been arrested after striking a bicycle with three children on it and then driving away.

72-year-old Bruno Voltaire has been charged with Hit and Run - Leaving the Scene of a Crash.

According to the Collier County Sheriff's Office, Voltaire was driving a van on East Eustis Avenue near the Immokalee casino around 7:15 a.m. on Thursday when he approached a school bus stop at Fahrney Street.  Witnesses say the van hit a bicycle with three children riding on it, ages 6,7, and 9, knocking them off the bike and into a ditch.

The van then continued along Fahrney Street, and was followed by a vehicle driven by a witness.

That witness was able to get the van to stop at East Delaware Avenue.

Responding deputies questioned Voltaire at the scene before placing him under arrest.

The children were treated at the scene by EMS and released.
