Boil water alert issued in parts of Collier County due to water line break

COLLIER COUNTY, Fla. -- A water line break causing reduced pressure in the portable water main has triggered a boil water notice for portions of northern Collier County.

The neighborhoods affected by this include: 

  • Heritage Bay
  • The Quarry
  • Esplanade
  • The Preserve
  • River Stone
  • Olde Cypress
  • Saturnia Lakes
  • Heritage Green
  • Ibis Cove
  • Laurel Lakes
  • Key Royal
  • Pebblebrooke
  • The Pebblebrooke Plaza
  • Bent Creek
  • Tuscany Cove
  • La Morada

Collier County is advising that all water used for drinking, cooking, making ice, brushing teeth or washing dishes be boiled. A rolling boil of one minute is sufficient. Bottled water may also be used as an alternative.

This precautionary boil water notice will remain in effect until acceptable bacteriological testing has been completed. A notice to rescind the precautionary boil water notice will be issued once satisfactory results have been received.
