Local businesses helping out brides to be

Brides to be are crushed after Alfred Angelo bridal shops nationwide closed their doors for good on Thursday.

Without a word, the company abruptly shut down 60 bridal shops across the country after they filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.

Alfred Angelo customers say they are confused, without answers and without a refund.

Bridal shops here in Southwest Florida are lending a helping hand to brides in need.

G's Bridal says they've been helping customers since the closing by working case by case to help these brides out any way they can.

"We're happy to help. I mean that's why we're here," said William Huie, the sales consultant at G's Bridal.

Other shops offering discounts for Alfred Angelo customers include Pure Bridal Boutique offering up to a 30% discount on gowns in stock, Carina's Bridal offering up to 50% gowns in stock, and Loretta Bridal Boutique offering discount prices on gowns in stock.

All places we spoke to said they are willing to help brides in this time of need.
