LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. -- In a developing story in the Lee County School District, officials confirm that the principal of Mirror Lakes Elementary in Lehigh Acres has been suspended.
Principal Dwayne Courtney was suspended with pay last Friday, pending a "professional standards inquiry", according to a school district spokesperson.
So far the school district is being very tight-lipped about exactly why Courtney was suspended.
