The family of the ZombiCon shooting victim taking to social media, pleading for anyone with information to come forward and saying Fort Myers Police don't have any leads in this case.

Twenty-year-old Tyrell Taylor was killed in the shooting at the event in October, and no arrests have been made.

In a Facebook group called Ask SWFL, users post questions and answers about anything in the area.

A man saying he's Taylor's brother posted "As of now there are NO leads on this case. I am truly lost right now.

He then pleads for anyone with information to contact him.

Taylor's brother isn't the only one questioning where the case stands.

"It's been so long, and still nothing," Fort Myers resident Meghan Gilliland said.

"Are you confident that an arrest will be made here?" Four in Your Corner's Lisa Greenberg asked Fort Myers resident Branden Barnhouse.

"No. No I'm not. I don't believe there will be one," he answered. "I don't know what I would think if I was in {his family's} shoes. I would be pretty distraught."

Fox 4 asked Interim Fort Myers Police Chief Dennis Eads if what Taylor's brother is posting on Facebook - that there are no leads in this case - is true.

"That is not the case. Absolutely not," he said.

Detectives are going through footage, interviewing witnesses, and comparing statements, but Eads said he can't tell Fox 4 every detail.

"It'll be amazing when this all comes out and we can talk about the whole thing, what some people thought they saw, but it wasn't really whatt happened," he said.

Eads is confident the evidence they're going through at this point will lead to an arrest, but there's no need to rush.

He added his team will be reaching out to the Taylor family to let them know the latest in the case.

"We're trying and doing everything we can to bring the person guilty of this to justice. It's not going to bring their loved one back, but at least they'll have some closure on that aspect of it," Eads said.

He also said there are still people who were close by when the shooting happened that still haven't come forward.

If you are one of those people or have any information pertaining to this case, you're asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.
