PUNTA GORDA, Fla. -- Two people have been found dead inside an upscale home in Punta Gorda.
Police say around 4 p.m. Thursday, someone asked them to check on the residents at a home in the 1200 block of Royal Tern Drive. That's when they found two people dead inside.
Although police won't release any details, we found the home belongs to a couple, Max and Urta Rottman, both in their 70's. Our reporter on scene says they've lived there for 10 years and are originally from Switzerland.
"I just knew them casually, very nice people," said one neighbor. "I don't really speak to them. Basically he just brings out his garbage and I say hello. And when she's across the street I say hello."
Fox 4 also found their house has been for sale for the past couple of years.
