NAPLES Fla.- Southwest Florida's Lazaro Arbos is moving on, despite blistering critiques from the Judges Wednesday night. He got enough votes to make it to the next round of American Idol. 4 In Your Corner watched Thursday's results show with friends and fans. They were on pins and needles hoping for the best but preparing for the worst.
"That's a lot of pressure to be under to be that tired and deal with that kind of criticism learning the song that quickly." Lazaro's close friend Dawn Gipson said.
They said Lazaro isn't getting the right feedback from coaches, wrong song choices and it is hurting his confidence.
" I think the direction from jimmy is off base and with the staging, I don't know who set it up but everybody else has fabulous staging and production numbers and last night and the night before his wasn't for some reason." Friend Cliff Donenfeld said.
The Gulf Coast High School graduate will see the Idol stage again and fans in Southwest Florida will be standing behind him.
" We love him were very proud and he's bound for stardom either way." Friends Cliff and Dawn said.
