CAPE CORAL, Fla. - It was supposed to be a trip to the happiest place on earth, a family trip to Disney World but a four year old girl and her family are distraught by the security pat down at the airport.

The Transportation Security Administration issued a statement apologizing saying it strives to treat all passengers with dignity and respect.

Some viewers don't think that's enough and the girl should have been left alone.

"All the passengers need to be safe and that but putting a child through that is completely overboard," said Perry from Fort Myers Beach.

Susan from North Fort Myers said, "Where do we draw the line? Are we that paranoid in our society? And if we are then the terrorists have won."

Sharon from Fort Myers Beach think the mother should have prepared the child for the pat down.

"It's the mother that needs to be responsible and stop blaming other people for what she should have done," said Sharon.

Many viewers are also speaking out on Facebook supporting the TSA. Nancy posted "Unfortunately there are people who hide things in babies diapers, car seats, wheel chairs etc. Criminals don't care who they hide things on."

Audrey said she has a special needs child and wrote "You have to treat them the same. They have to learn to interact with society to the best of their ability."
