NAPLES, Fla.- A young Bonita Springs mother is still scared and shaken up after she said a group of men tried to rob her in a packed parking lot, while her kids were with her.   The Woman said it all happened in broad daylight in the East Naples Walmart parking lot just before 10 Friday Morning. She said the men tried to take her purse, so she took action.

What started as a typical Friday for Jami Himes and her two toddlers,
" I went to Walmart like I usually do," Jami said.

Quickly turned into her worst nightmare. Jami said her purse was open, full of cash and sitting in plain sight in the Walmart parking lot on Tamiami Trail in East Naples when five men surrounded her car and demanded her purse. But instead of giving in, she fought back.
" I opened my car door and punched him with every ounce of my being and he went down." Jamie said.
Jami said it was her motherly instinct that packed the punch.
" I'm glad that I was able to bring out the 200 lb man and me and protect what's mine." Jami said.

She was able to drive away and call 911. But Jami's now left with a merry go round of "What ifs?".
"What if they would have taken my daughter or my son or hijacked my car?" Jami said.

One thing is for sure, Jami's kids say mom is a hero.
" I Happened to be lucky today, he could've had a gun or a knife but my first thought was to protect my children, I would die for them." Jami said.

Investigators with the Collier County Sheriff's Office have been talking to witnesses about the incident but a spokeswoman tells us there is no threat to the community or Walmart shoppers.
