Fox 4 reporter arrested
Updated with statement from Rupolo
CAPE CORAL -- A Fox 4 news reporter is accused of violating a restraining order.
Cape Coral Police arrested John Rupolo early Friday morning for violating a domestic violence order of protection.
Rupolo is now facing a misdemeanor and will go before a judge in February.
When asked about Rupolo's status, Fox 4 management responded by saying "Mr. Rupolo is no longer employed by WFTX and we have no further comment regarding this issue."
Rupolo says he has been falsely accused of this misdeameanor charge and has entered a plea of not guilty. Rupolo and his attorney say they are "confident he will be cleared of this false allegation."
