Naples celebrates New Year's early
NAPLES - The City of Naples rang in 2013 earlier that most other cities around the United States and even Southwest Florida because it was more family friendly.
Thousands of people packed the beach surrounding the Naples pier before the show started and released Chinese lanterns into the sky.
Then at around 7:30 on Monday night, the fireworks show started and lit up the night sky for about 30 minutes.
In addition to the thousands of people who packed the beach the watch the show, about 100 boats anchored west of the pier for an up close and personal view on the light show.
