FORT MYERS - Lots of travelers at Southwest Florida International checking out the flight screens.  Some cancellations and delays because of the winter storms across the nation.

A massive system hitting the Gulf states, the Midwest, and bearing down on New England. It's causing problems at Southwest Florida International - mainly flight delays.

One couple was heading home to Naples home and had some delays leaving Ohio.

"Had to be de-iced but we got out before it got real bad," said one traveler.

A Washington D.C. mother of two is glad to make it to southwest Florida, just beating the snow.

"We are thrilled to be here yes," said Kim Hester.

But not everyone here experiencing flight delays in fact we talked to many who are heading back up north after spending Christmas in the sunshine.

Priscilia Newman and her boyfriend getting some last minute sunshine before heading back to Toronto.

"Thats why we wait a bit longer outside instead of waiting in there," said Newman.
