Santa Claus flies over Marco Island
MARCO ISLAND - Santa Claus spent Christmas Day kicking back and entertaining crowds along Marco Island.
"I was amazed that he was up all night last night and had enough energy to come out here today and fly around on his paraglider," said Chris Nowinski.
Santa flew over Tigertail Beach on Marco waving to children and their families who were enjoying a warm Southwest Florida Christmas day on the sand.
"I figured this morning is Christmas I'd get the boat out and go do it," said Capt. Ron Hagerman, the man behind the flying Santa.
Hagerman, known on the island as Capt. Ron, is advertising his company, Capt. Ron's Awesome Everglades Adventures, but say the smiles on the faces of everyone below is the best part of the flying Santa.
"They all looked up... they're all waving...cameras going constantly I think it's funny to see them going."
